Worth Dying For

I've dreamed of kissing Elizabeth for God knows how many years.
With the knowledge that this may be the last time we will ever meet, I summon up courage from the depths of my soul and do it.

It's...what's the word?...bittersweet. She didn't kiss back. That was to be expected; nonetheless, it hurt. There was once a time when I thought she cared for me as much as I her...

I hope we never see each other again. There's no doubt she'll tell William of my deed. William. My poor heart cannot take another blow such as seeing them together.
But there's still time, no sailor has noticed our leaving, I can turn around and go with her!
No; it is my duty to protect her from any sailors who approach us, and protect her I shall.

I'm going to have to eventually cut the rope and sever my chances of leaving with her; she'll proabably turn around and insist on fighting with me, granted the sailor comes back. I won't let that happen. She is safe now. Who knows if that sailor even raised the alarm? Or if he is even coming back?

Elizabeth...I never wanted to force myself upon you. My fine upbringing had instilled a great respect for women into me quite early in my life. But your kiss was worth it--my wildrest dreams, literally coming true. And I can't say I was completely disappointed...
