Master Qui-Gon loved to meditate. Obi-Wan loved trying to break his concentration. From pokes (the ribs always got a good flinch), to using the Force to tug at his ponytail, to tickling the inside of Qui-Gon’s ears with the tip of his Padawan braid— Obi-Wan was full of restless energy. And Qui-Gon would lecture him time and time again that meditation would benefit him greatly in the future…Obi-Wan agreed to disagree. Outside of its use during Force training and combat, he never quite understood the application of meditation. the devil on Sam's shoulder
Weak. Useless. Failure. Freak.
A chant. A mantra. My own mind, torturing me,
bullying me. Brainwashing myself and I can’t help it.
Freak. Stupid. You don’t belong.
Everything is my fault. Mom was my fault. Every stupid mistake
on a hunt is made by me. Dad and Dean, they hate me. They
don’t say it, but it’s in their eyes. Somehow that’s worse than
them just telling me.
Pain. Pain. It’ll help. Distract.
The idea makes me sick. I’ve always heard peoples’ stories, and
seen their scars. I didn’t ever wanna be one of them. But now
I’m scared I am, or am becoming…it keeps b

A Brotherly Wake-Up Call Part 2
Dean hadn't taken three steps away from Sam when he was suddenly tackled onto the ground from behind. The fall hurt like hell but Dean managed to smile into the smelly carpet and chuckle. "Well, well, looks like someone's pissed."
"You are so dead, Dean." Sam growled into his older brother's ear.
Dean shook his head as much as he could with it pressed into the floor of the motel. "You know just as well as I do that I'm not ticklish, Sam. So you better have some other trick up your sleeve."
"You so sure of that, Dean? 'Cuz I've got some really old memories of times that seem to suggest you're otherwise."

"Well, it's a goddamn miracle." Dean gazed down at the sleeping form of his brother. "How the hell am I awake before you?"
He glanced at the digital clock on the nightstand in between the two motel beds. Eight-thirty am. Jesus.
"Hey." Dean halfheartedly tapped the foot hanging out of the end of the bed. "Time to get up."
Sam didn't stir. Dean looked down at the foot he had just tapped, and an evil grin spread on his face. He wondered .
Slowly, Dean dragged his pointer finger up Sam's foot. It twitched. Dean's smile grew bigger. So, Sammy was still as ticklish as ever

The facade is unmistakable. That tree, those curtains, the sticker in the window of a firefighter saving a little girl...
There's kids playing in the living room.
My kids.
My face is pressed against the windows, ears straining to hear their laughter through the glass. A shadow in the kitchen moves. The children make their way into the basement and I slip into the house. Now my ears register the laughter floating up from the playroom like balloons let go at a carnival.
There is clanging in the kitchen and my wife--Julia, my sweet, beautiful Julia--yells that dinner is ready. I follow the children into the kitchen and sit at my normal seat. Th

[Author's Note before the story!!
I normally NEVER do this, but I feel this requires one. Soo...I wrote this story after singing 'Red and Black' in my head, it just gave me a bit of inspiration for my half of an art trade involving Combeferre from Les Miz, so it's basically to the tune/rhythm of the lyrics before and during that song so if the structure is a bit weird when you read it, it's just I was reading and writing it in my mind in the way of the song. I don't know if it works, and I don't know if I'm going to keep this as my trade to Spirit-Lily. So keep that in mind and let me know. Thanks!
Oh, and yes it's very depressing again be

It was a cruel cell, cold and dark; one definitely not fit for a Prince of Asgard.
And yet I had been thrown in the putrid thing unceremoniously, like the like the monster I really am.
I may still be clad in my Asgardian armour, but that doesn't change anything. I am Loki Laufeyson. Laufey's son.
It would have been so much better if Odin had just told me what I was while I was young. Wouldn't it? I wouldn't be here right now. Or perhaps I would have been in here sooner. Except in tattered rags instead of armour, and pale and sickly like I had looked after first getting to Earth. A prisoner. A monster. I would still hate Odin, a
It's back! With the goal of bringing a little cheer to patients in the hospital during the holiday season, the deviantART Holiday Card Project connects deviants from around the world and applies their tremendous artistic abilities in designing and creating uplifting holiday cards.
